TAG Heuer brings NFTs to smartwatches

Written By Simon Mwebaze

We love NFTs for their aesthetic value. The only problem may be that every time you want to check them out, you need to open a browser on a smartphone or PC to catch a peek at your favorite ones. But, what if you had them on the wrist of your hand?

Imagine no more!

Tag Heuer is bringing NFTs to your wrist with the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4. To ensure the experience is top-notch, it worked with reputable NFT communities – including Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Cryptopunk, CLONE-X, and World of Women (WOW).

“I have had a deep interest in the NFT space, and this feature fits with TAG Heuer’s tradition of being avant-garde and innovative in technology. Our watch enables users to show off their digital identity to everyone with the ability to prove their NFT ownership. Watch this space, as TAG Heuer will have more stories to tell about Web3,” said the CEO of TAG Heuer Frédéric Arnault.

As a watch owner, you will also be able to connect to wallets including MetaMask and Ledger Live.

Sounds cool, huh? But how does the watch work?

With the help of a paired smartphone, you can make multiple NFT transfers. TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 can support static and animated NFT artwork. Once an NFT is transferred to your watch, it can be resized and placed within three available designs including a new conceptual design with a triangle and a circle representing hours and minutes.

Want to join in on the fun with the new feature? It’s easy! You can download the free update via Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.
