A Note from Kelly Ann: ‘I’m Proud to work with WEYU’ to Empower, Inspire, Uplift

Written By Kelly Ann Collins

In March, I joined Angel Alliance for its launch – live on one of my favorite platforms, Twitter Spaces!

During the event, I spoke about the work we are doing here at Into The Meta to uplift voices in the Web3 space, and I listened to all of the great work orgs and other female founders are doing in the Metaverse, in crypto, and in the NFT world.

WEYU COO Caroline Johnova also spoke at the event. Hearing everything that the company is doing in the Web3 space was enlightening. So, in April, my team and I attended the official WEYU launch – which delivered a plethora of insights on how the company is working to inspire and uplift voices as it empowers creators by facilitating easy entry into the NFT industry.

Since breaking down barriers to Web3 entry is one of my personal and professional missions, I was hooked!

Shortly thereafter, I was invited to join WEYU as an ambassador and partner on several initiatives. Today, I am delighted to share that I, along with support from our amazing team here at Into The Meta / Vult Lab, will be working on several social good-focused initiatives with WEYU.

First, is helping with the WEYU Pieces campaign in support of The UN Refugee Agency – to help push the boundaries of blockchain technology. The first “Pieces” drop was a collection of highly unique NFTs in collaboration with artist NFN Kalyan. Three original pieces of artwork were donated to WEYU, broken up into 6,075 pieces, and then each piece was re-created alongside 144 refugees from around the world, who digitally hand-drew each piece. One hundred percent of the funds from this drop were donated to refugees through the UNHCR. More on this initiative will be announced soon.

We are also collaborating on a few projects to help uplift voices of women and minorities in the Web3 arena – more details on that coming soon as well!

I am excited to leverage my experience in leading communication strategies for social good and technology—working globally with Fortune 500 companies, governments, NGOs and INGOs (like the UN), nonprofits and brands.

There will be many opportunities for engagement with my friends, colleagues, Into The Meta readers and partners. I hope you will join me on this journey! I’m proud to work with WEYU. Together, we can change the world!

All the best,
